The Four-County Community Services, Inc., a non-profit organization, is organized under and by authority of the General Statutes of the State of North Carolina. The Four-County Community Services, Inc., was issued a Certificate of Incorporation under the name of Tri-County Community Action, Inc., by the Secretary of State under the date of June 10, 1964. The purposes for which the corporation is organized are to focus attention on the problems of the disadvantaged and to develop and administer programs designed to overcome these problems in cooperation with other interested agencies in cooperating counties, utilizing all available resources from agencies, corporations, and foundations and public or private groups.
