Parks & Recreation - Grassroots Grant


Issue/Action Requested: Request that the Board of Commissioners approve the FY17-18 Grassroots Grant awarded by Brunswick Arts Council.

Background/Purpose of Request:

The Brunswick County Parks and Recreation Department has been awarded $5,000 to assist our office with providing art experiences for the community. Funds will be used to support summer concerts throughout the county. A one-to-one match is required with this award which is provided in the current budget.

County Manager to execute as authorizing official.


Fiscal Impact: Budget Amendment Required, Pre-Audit Certification Required, Reviewed By Director of Fiscal Operations Budget Amendment Appropriates $5,000 in State revenues for the FY 17-18 for Grassroots Grant award and the grant match is provided in the current budget.
