Request that the Board of Commissioners authorize the County Manager to enter into a nominal lease agreement with the Brunswick Arts Council for use of one office on the county campus. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Purpose of Request:
During the budget process for this fiscal year the Brunswick Arts Council requested consideration from the Board for providing office space for the part-time executive director that would be engaged with the assistance of County funding. The Council has hired its director, and we currently have an unused office in Building G. Room 130 is approximately 120 sq. ft.. We do not believe that use by the Council would adversely effect our operations in the building. Parks and Recreation is the primary occupant of Building G at present. Staff suggest that a nominal lease be executed, terminable by either party without cause with 30 days notice in a form acceptable to the County Attorney. |
