Request that the Board of Commissioners approve the Professional Services Agreement for Architectural, Engineering, and/or Surveying Services with McKim & Creed, P.A., in the amount of $55,400. This will be for engineering services associated with the addition to the Northeast Brunswick Regional Force Main Off-Site Transmission Improvements Project and to continue the previous contract to provide an on-site testing protocol plan and daily on-site environmental monitoring during construction. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Purpose of Request:
In 2020 the Board of Commissioners approved an agreement with McKim & Creed, P.A., for the development of soil testing protocols and daily on-site environmental monitoring during construction of the force main within the Kerr McGee superfund site associated with the Northeast Brunswick Regional Force Main Off-Site Transmission Improvements Project. The owner of the Kerr McGee superfund site (Greenfield Trust) required daily on-site environmental monitoring during construction as a condition of easement agreement. Due to construction delays, the original contract for the daily monitoring has expired. The unused fee remaining on the expired contract was in the amount of $47,401.32. In addition to the original unused fee, the delays resulted in additional service fees in the amount of approximately $8,000 and additional changes to the Soil plan, bringing the total of the contract to $55,400.
Staff recommends approval of the proposed contract with McKim & Creed, P.A., in the amount of $55,400. |
