Request that the Board of Commissioners approve the contract with MECO, Inc. of Augusta to complete fuel site upgrades at the Leland EMS Site #2 Fuel Site which is located at 8605 Trade Street NE, Leland, NC. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Purpose of Request:
To increase the fuel capacity and upgrade dispensers at the Leland Fuel Site, a request for proposals was released on February 15, 2021. The existing 3,000 gallon above ground diesel tank will be replaced with a 10,000 gallon tank and the existing 3,000 gallon above ground gas tank will be replaced with a 5,000 gallon tank. More reliable dispensers will be installed. Proposals were received from five contractors and the lowest responsible bidder was MECO, Inc. of Augusta with a cost of $209,001.45. Funds are budgeted in 104250-459000 and 617110-459000. |
