Background/Purpose of Request:
The NCACC has provided a renewal quote for the county's FY 2021-22 property and liability insurance coverage. Based on the underwriter's review of the county's exposures (population, property values, fleet size, law enforcement activity and total budget), the premium contribution is
$1,858,789. This reflects a 10% increase over last years' contribution of $1,685,264. Brunswick County participates in additional programs partnering with the NCACC, which gains a multi-pool discount of approximately 2%. Once the discount is applied, the county has an overall increase of 8% over last years' premium contribution for the same property liability coverage. |
