Request that the Board of Commissioners approve the FY 21-22 contract between the County and Novant Health Medical Group Coastal Region, LLC. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Purpose of Request:
Novant Health Medical Group Coastal Region, LLC (Known as Carolina Healthcare Associates, Inc. until the Novant buyout on June 1) has provided Maternal Health and Family Planning care for Health Services clients for many years. This agreement provides a continuation of care for Brunswick County Maternal Health clients that plan to receive care at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. This agreement also provides Family Planning clients access to quality care providers. Funding for this service comes from state and local funds in addition to insurance and client payments. Value of this renewal contract for last fiscal year was over $60,000.
