| Emergency Services - Amendment to EMS Management Consultants Billing Agreement for Medicaid Claims |

Request that the Board of Commissioners approve an amendment to the current billing contract with EMS Management Consultants, as it relates to Medicaid claims. All Medicaid claims will switch to a fixed billing rate, instead of a percentage of collections rate. |
| | | | | | | | Background/Purpose of Request:
With the recent changes to the North Carolina Medicaid Managed Care billing process, EMS/MC has proposed that they bill a flat rate $11.50 per Medicaid Managed Care claim, instead of the usual percentage rate on collections. Any funds collected through these Medicaid claims will not be calculated into the total collections from which the percentage based payment is calculated. |
