Background/Purpose of Request:
The Year 4 Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant was approved at the 9/20/21 board meeting.
The SAMHSA award provides a coordinated, multi-system approach designed to combine the sanctioning power of treatment drug courts with effective SUD treatment services to break the cycle of criminal behavior, alcohol and/or drug use, and incarceration or other penalties.
As approved in the grant budget justification, contracted services with several organizations are needed to assist with the Adult Treatment Court Expansion Project for drug court participant treatment services, drug court participant transportation needs, trial court coordinators and program/data evaluation and reporting.
