Background/Purpose of Request:
North Carolina Beach, Inlet, and Waterways Association, Member of the Year Award went to Randell Woodruff, who as Vice Chair, became the Chairman of NCBIWA when the chair had to suddenly resign. He took the leadership role just before the pandemic brought many non-profit organizations to a screeching halt. Under Randell’s leadership, the organization grew in membership and was able to conduct three successful hybrid conferences.
“Due to Randell Woodruff’s leadership, an organization is better than he found it,” said NCBIWA nominators.
