Request the Board of Commissioners accept an award from the BJA FY 2020 State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP) grant valued at $15,573 with no county match requirement. |

The SCAAP grant is one the Sheriff's Office applies for every year and provides reimbursement for the care of eligible inmates in a given reporting period. Once funds are received, they are typically designated toward salary expenditures. This particular grant application was submitted in 2021. To compare, the last SCAAP grant award amount in 2020 was $10,167. |
