Background/Purpose of Request:
The specified equipment was previously authorized by way of resolution at the August 5, 2019, Board of Commissioners meeting, for purchase of specialty products used by Public Utilities under sole source exception to formal bidding requirements (attached). Due to the demand for grinder pump systems being installed by County staff, supply chain issues and addition of a second grinder installation crew it is necessary to enlist an additional provider for grinder pump packages. Staff recommends approval of a contract with Preferred Sources Inc. (Myers Grinder Pumps) for purchase of these grinder pump packages. |
