Utilities - CFPUA Interlocal Agreement Goods Received (John Nichols, PE - Director of Public Utilities)


Issue/Action Requested: Request that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached Interlocal Agreement for the receipt of goods for used SCADA radios from CFPUA (Cape Fear Public Utility Authority).

Background/Purpose of Request:

Cape Fear Public Utility Authority has offered to donate Brunswick County Utilities 70 used GE InetII SCADA radios at an approximate value of $200 each, for a total value of $14,000. Brunswick County Public Utilities currently uses the GE InetII radio on many water and sewer sites and would benefit by having additional surplus in the growing SCADA network.

Brunswick County Public Utilities staff appreciates the consideration by CFPUA staff and recommends approval of receiving this donation of SCADA radios from CFPUA.
