Request for the Board of Commissioners approve and accept a grant from the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Farmland Preservation to place a conservation easement on agricultural property located at 1330 Hickman Rd NW Calabash, NC with the Brunswick Soil and Water Conservation District as the easement holder. The grant amount consists of $379,331.80 in State Funds. Required match to be covered by landowner donated easement value. |

Budget amendment and project ordinance appropriate state revenue in the amount of $379,332 awarded by the NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Farmland Preservation (ADFP) to encourage the preservation of qualifying farmland and to foster the growth, development, and sustainability of family farms. |
